I was blind,
but then I could see.
Now, I am blind again.
So, because I am so blind,
I cannot see that I am blind;
therefore, blind I shall forever be.

Which voice do you follow?
Is it a loud, overwhelming voice that flares up and rages inside you
and causes you to get angry, bitter and impatient?
Is it the voice that causes you to go astray?
Is it the voice of your emotions, your desires, your self-centeredness,
your pride, or your wanting to be someone special?
Is it the voice of the cares of this life or the deceitfulness of riches?
Is it the voice of your desire for pleasures,
or is it the voice of the lusts of your flesh or lusts for other things?
Is it a loud, overwhelming voice that flares up and rages inside you
and tells you that you have no time for God?
Is it the lying voice that causes you to doubt God's Word?
Is it the voice of wanting the finer things of this life?
Is it the voice of your loneliness, your hurts, your rejections?
Is it the loud, overwhelming voice that makes you believe that no one cares?
Is it the voice that causes you to get easily irritated with certain people?
Is it the voice that causes you to not want anyone to have authority over you in any way?
Is it a voice that tells you that you can serve God another way, which is a better way?
Is it the voice that lies to you and tells you everthing will turn out all right, including eternity?
Is it the voice that will not allow you to draw closer to Jesus and become more like Him?
Or is it the still, small voice
that is in perfect harmony with
the Word of God, which brings peace?
Is it the still, small voice that trusts in God, and fears God,
and craves more and more of God's Word?
Is it the still, small voice that is in harmony
with the fruit of the Spirit?
Is it the still, small voice that puts God first and serves God, as outlined in His Word?
Is it the still, small voice that causes you to love God far above
all the things of this world, even all that He created, including your children?
Is it the still, small voice that prompts you to love God
with all your heart, soul, mind and strength?
Is it the still, small voice that tells you:
Deut 10:12, 13 “And now…what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God,
to walk in all his ways, and to love Him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,
To keep the commandments of the LORD, and His statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?”
Mt 22:37-39 “Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul,
and with all thy mind.
This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.”
Jn 10:1-5 VERILY, VERILY, I SAY UNTO YOU, HE THAT ENTERETH NOT BY THE DOOR INTO THE SHEEPFOLD, BUT CLIMBETH UP SOME OTHER WAY, THE SAME IS A THIEF AND A ROBBER. BUT HE THAT ENTERETH IN BY THE DOOR IS THE SHEPHERD OF THE SHEEP. TO HIM THE PORTER OPENETH; AND THE SHEEP HEAR HIS VOICE: AND HE CALLETH HIS OWN SHEEP BY NAME, AND LEADETH THEM OUT. AND WHEN HE PUTTETH FORTH HIS OWN SHEEP, HE GOETH BEFORE THEM, AND THE SHEEP FOLLOW HIM: FOR THEY KNOW HIS VOICE. AND A STRANGER WILL THEY NOT FOLLOW, BUT WILL FLEE FROM HIM: FOR THEY KNOW NOT THE VOICE OF STRANGERS.
